Our Story

Ace Electric is a family business that began 17 years ago. Greg’s kids grew up helping him on various electrical projects, and when the time came to expand the company and grow, it was a natural fit for his children to join the team. Ace Electric has now expanded across Washington state and serves commercial and residential customers.

Greg Gutzmer, Owner & president

Hi, I’m Greg, owner of Ace Electric. I’ve been married to my beautiful wife, Lora, for 35 years. We have 3 children: Jimmy, Jessica, and LeAnn. Jimmy runs our HR department, helping with projects we are bidding and anything else I toss at him. Jessica is my office manager. She makes sure all the paperwork, the finances, and her dad are running smoothly. LeAnn is our youngest. She is the smart one in the family. She was a parts runner for me during high school, she saw what it took to be in the electrical business and knew that wasn't for her. After graduating high school she went on to be a Registered Nurse. We are all so proud of her, and glad that we have someone to take care of us too! None of this would be possible without my wife putting up with me traveling all the time for work. I doubt she misses me too much as we have 4 grandchildren that she loves spending all the time she can with, Kassadi, Kayden, Landen, and Eastyn. They keep my wife busy while I am working.

I’m a happy wife and mother of two energetic kids. I have been around the electrical trade my entire life (33 years). My dad (the owner of Ace Electric) has done electrical work since I was born. My husband started into the trade right after graduating high school in 2003. He worked for my dad to start out and learn the trade from the best. They worked together for about 7 years before my husband decided to move on so he could stay home at nights and not travel out of town away from his family. I started doing the books for Ace in 2008. I enjoy it because it allows me to work from home around my family’s schedule, while working with my dad, grandpa, husband, brother, uncle, cousin and brother in law. It has been a great blessing to be a part of my dad’s business!

I grew up in a small town in southeastern Washington where my family farmed and ranched. I grew up watching my father do all kinds of electrical work. As a young boy, I was wiring cattle barns and grain bins on the weekends. After college I decided that I enjoyed the work and wanted a future in the trade. My wife and I now live outside of Ephrata, WA. I have been with Ace for about 6 months and am the Lead here in the Wenatchee area.
